Zachary's Story
Zach had a love of country and a desire to serve. He loved music, God, family and friends. He was that one friend you could always depend upon He truly cared more about others than he did himself. His selflessness led him to join the Army. So, why not continue his legacy of love?
The patriotic hands and heart. We believe that it symbolizes our military and civilian family hand in hand, all with the heart to serve.
Had Zach not decided to join and serve his country, our Army family would not have been given the blessing of helping 10's of thousands of families and soldiers through the basic training & AIT process. We want his legacy of love to continue through this mission.
**A word of love by Zachary's oldest brother, Jake Bates**
"Words can be fleeting. Memories are forever. Finding the right thing to say about someone you love and care about so much can be difficult to muster when describing to a new acquaintance. That is one of the many, many amazing things about Zachary--he didn't blather words out to hear his own beautiful voice, but instead, when he spoke it was always with purpose. It was to make you smile, or to make you laugh, or even to let you know things would be okay. Zachary always acted with his heart, and anyone who knows him can attest to that. His love for music was matched only by his love for his friends and family, and with Zachary, his friends were family. It is now our purpose to not only put these emotions into simple words, but into meaningful action. The sound of happiness and hope was what he shared with the world, and we hope to continue sharing that song of blessings from Zachary's Heart with you, our friends--our family."
